Left 4 Dead 2: The Sacrifice

The Sacrifice is a three-map campaign with a story that links the two games and takes some of the mystery out of the events portrayed in Valve’s previous L4D2 DLC pack, The Passing.

“The Sacrifice” is the prequel to “The Passing,” and takes place from the Left 4D Survivors’ perspective as they make their way South. We know Bill dies in “The Passing” but how and why? You can read the comic to find out the official version of events or this October 5th you can play the game to choose your own ending.

The Sacrifice is available for L4D and L4D2, and as an added bonus, the new DLC will give L4D players the new machineguns and melee weapons released in The Passing. And L4D2 owners will receive one of the original game’s most popular campaigns, No Mercy.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

StarCraft II continues the epic saga of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg. These three distinct and powerful races clash once again in the fast-paced real-time strategy sequel to the legendary original, StarCraft. Legions of veteran, upgraded, and brand-new unit types will do battle across the galaxy, as each faction struggles for survival.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty’s solo campaign will continue the epic saga where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War. The storyline chronicles the exploits of marshal-turned-rebel-leader Jim Raynor and features both familiar faces and new heroes. Players will be able to tailor the experience, choosing their own mission path and selecting technology and research upgrades to suit their playing style throughout the 29-mission campaign.

In addition to the solo campaign, dozens of multiplayer maps are available for competitive play through Battle.net. This improved version of the service has been built from the ground up to offer an unparalleled online play experience, with new features such as voice communication, character profiles and achievements, stat-tracking, ladders and leagues, cloud file storage, and more.

Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing

The main draw of The Passing will be the crossover that’ll occur between the survivors from the first Left 4 Dead and the new survivors in Left 4 Dead 2. But on top of that, The Passing also brings a number of other new items and gameplay modes with it as well. One is the new “Mutations” system, which Valve describes as a “series of weekly game mode events” that include modes like “Versus Reality” and “Chainsaw Massacre” — the latter giving all players chainsaws with infinite gasoline. Valve has 20 different Mutation modes planned.

Other new features include a new co-operative challenge mode, support for infected bots in Versus mode, a new golf club melee weapon, new M-60 machine gun, and a new “uncommon common” infected class…that has a little something to do with the L4D1/L4D2 crossover. Read here for some more spoilerish details on how that’ll work.

Ninja Blade

High atop the towering skyscrapers of modern-day Tokyo, Ken Ogawa and his team of skilled ninjas are deployed to destroy the infected monster horde and stem the spreading disease as humanity hangs in the balance. Matters quickly take a turn for the worse as Ogawa and his team are betrayed from within their own ranks. After narrowly escaping death, Ogawa is left to fight the daunting battle alone while also attempting to understand the motivations behind his father’s betrayal.

Armed with an extensive arsenal of specialized ninja weapons, tools and skills including the powerful forces of Ninja Vision and Todomé Attack, players must fight insurmountable odds, and once again bring peace and order to Tokyo.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight

The year is 2062 and humanity is at the brink of extinction. With only six years left until the mysterious crystalline structure Tiberium renders the earth entirely uninhabitable, the two opposing factions — Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod — inevitably find themselves in desperation for the same cause: to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind. The unthinkable becomes reality and Nod’s enigmatic leader Kane takes off for GDI headquarters. What is Kane planning in the heart of his enemies’ base?

In addition to the two campaigns on the epic battles of GDI and Nod, which players will get to conquer alone or in a cooperative mode, Command & Conquer 4 also features a new 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode, promoting teamwork and cooperation and delivering a social real-time-strategy experience never seen before in a Command & Conquer game.
